பகுதிநேர கிறிஸ்தவர்களா!.......முழுநேர கிறிஸ்தவர்களா!

கிறிஸ்துவில் பிரியமுள்ளவர்களே சிறார்களே இளையஉள்ளங்களே சகோதர சகோதிரியரே உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இயேசுவின் திருஉடல் திருஇரத்த பெருவிழாவின் வாழ்த்துகளை வெளிப்படுத்திக்கொள்கிறேன். நற்கருணை இயேசுவை ஆராதித்து மதிப்போடு பக்தி வணக்கத்தோடு வெளிப்படையாக பவனி எடுத்து சாட்சி பகர்ந்து பறைசாற்றுவது இந்த நாள் இன்றும் நாம் தொடரும் வரலாற்று அhத்தம்பெற்ற திருவிழாவாகும். நற்கருணை இயேசு என்றும் அனைத்துலக அரசராக குருவாக நம்மை வழிநடத்தி வளப்படுத்துகிறார். நாம் நற்கருணை கொண்டாட்டத்திற்கு ஒன்றுகூடும்பொழுது தொடரும் இயேசுவின் செயலாகிய எடுத்து – நன்றிசெலுத்தி – உடைத்து – கொடுத்து இந்த செயல்களில் முழுமையாக நம்மை இணைத்து நம் வாழ்விலும் இதை தொடர்ந்து கடைபிடித்து சாட்சிபகர்ந்து வாழ நற்கருணை இயேசுவை பிறருக்கு கொடுக்க நம்மை நற்கருணை இயேசுவுக்கு கொடுக்க விடாது முயற்சிப்போம்.

பணமும் பெயரும் நிறைவு தரவில்லை வாழ்வை நிரப்பவில்லை என்ற ஜ.பி;.எல் சூதாட்டநிகழ்வு இன்று அவர்களால் சிறையை நிரப்பியுள்ளது. நம் நிறைவும் நிரப்பபட விரும்பும் மனநிலையும் எங்கே எதிலே இருக்கிறது. வறுமை – வன்முறை பிரிவினை –பாகுபாடு உயர்ந்துபோயிருப்பதற்கு காரணம் நம்மை ஒன்றுசேர்க்கும் நம்மை நிரப்பும் நம்மை தன் பிரசன்னத்தால் நிறைவடையச்செய்யும் நற்கருணை இயேசுவை பிறருக்கு நாம் தொடர்ந்து கொடுக்க தயங்குவதாலே ஆகும்.

நிலாவில் முதல் கால் தடம் பதித்த நேய்ல் ஆம்ஸ்டிராங்கோடு 1969ம்ஆண்டு ஜீலை 20ம்தேதி அப்போலோ விண்கலத்தில் பஜ் அல்டிரெய்ன் என்ற கத்தோலிக்க விண்வெளிவீரரும் பயணம் செய்தார். பஜ் அல்டிரெய்ன் அருட்தந்தை டெனிஸ் பேரிக்கு கலிபோர்னியாவிலுள்ள புனித மார்டின் பங்கு தலத்தில் பீடச்சிறுவராக பணியாற்றியவர். விண்வெளி பயணத்தை தொடங்குவதற்குமுன்பு ஒரு ஹோட்டல்அறையில் அருட்தந்தை டெனிஸ்க்கு பஜ் உதவிசெய்ய அவர் திருப்பலி நிறைவேற்றி நோயாளிகளுக்கு நற்கருணை எடுத்துச்செல்லும் பிக்ஸில் நற்கருணையை பஜ்க்குகொடுத்து வழியனுப்பினார். நிலாவை அடைந்தபிறகு பஜ் நான் திராட்சைகொடி நீங்கள் அதன் கிளைகள் என்னில் நீங்கள் நிலைத்திருந்தால் நான் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பேன் என்ற இறைவார்த்தைகளை சொல்லி நன்றியுணர்வுடன் நற்கருணையை உட்கொண்டு நற்கருணைஇயேசுவிடம் நிலாவை அர்பணித்தார். இது எவ்வளவு உயரிய பெரிய விண்வெளி சாதனையிலும் அவரை நிரப்பி நிறைவுசெய்தது நற்கருணை ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுவே என நிரூபனமாகிறது.

இன்றைய இறைவார்த்தைகள் தன் உடலால் இரத்தத்தால் நம்மை நிரப்பி நிறைவுசெய்யும் இறைவனை நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியது வரலாற்று உண்மைஇறைவனே என தெளிவாக்குகிறது. தொடக்கத்தில் இன்றைய முதல் வாசகத்தில் கேட்டதுபோல மெல்கிசேதேக் செயலின் முழுமையே நற்கருணை இயேசுவின் உணவு ஆகும். மெல்கிசேதேக்கின் குறிப்படுதலை விவிலியத்தில் மூன்றுஇடங்களில் நாம் காண்கிறோம். முதலில் இன்றைய முதல்வாசகமாக அமையும் தொடக்கநூலில் ஆபிராம் தன் மக்களோடு கடத்தப்பட்ட மருமகன் லோத்தை மற்றவர்களோடு முரட்டுதனமான அரசனிடமிருந்துபோரிட்டு கைப்பற்றி உடமைகளை அவர்கள் வாழ்ந்த சோதோம் அரசனுக்கு கொடுக்கவிரும்பி வருகையில் சாலேம்(பின்; எருசலேமான) அரசர் மெல்கிசேதேக் அப்பமும் திராட்சை இரசமும் கொண்டுவந்து ஆபிராமை வாழ்த்தி இறைவனுக்கு நன்றிசெலுத்தினார். மெல்கிசேதேக் நன்றிபலி நிறைவேற்றும் குருவாக அர்ச்சகராக பிறர் வாழ்வை நிரப்பும் அரசராக இருந்தார். அடுத்த இரு குறிப்புகளை திருப்பாடல் 110:4 மற்றும் எபிரேயர் 5 “மெல்கிசேதேக் முறைப்படி நீர் என்றென்றும் குருவே” என்றமைவது அரச குருத்துவ செயல்பாடு இயேசுவில் தொடர்ந்ததை எடுத்துரைக்கிறது. இது உலகை பலவகையில் தனித்துவிடப்பட்ட அனைவரையும் நிரப்ப நிறைவுசெய்ய வந்தவர் இயேசு ஒரு அருட்தந்தை அர்ச்சகர் மற்றும் ஒரு அரசருமாவார் என்பது நமக்கு விளங்குகிறது.

கொரிந்தியருக்கு சொல்லப்பட்ட இன்றைய வாசகம் நற்கருணை அறையாகிய மேலுறையின் வரலாற்று நிகழ்வு முழுமையாக தம்மையே கொடுத்த அர்ச்சகராகிய தலைமை குருவாகிய இயேசுவை போற்ற அழைக்கிறது லூக்கா நற்செய்தியில் பசியி;ல் பாதை மறந்த மக்களுக்கு அரசராக மக்களை நிரப்பியதை கண்டு மகிழ்கிறோம்.

அரசரும் குருவுமாகிய மெல்கிசேதேக்கின் செயல் ஒரு முழுமாற்றம் பெற்று இயேசு குருவாக அரசராக தன் உடலை இரத்தத்தை கொடுக்கின்றார். இது இன்றும் திருப்பலியில் நிறைவேறுகிறது. இயேசு இதை ஒவ்வொருமுறையும் இதை திருப்பலியில் உண்மையாக்குகிறார். எடுத்து – நன்றிசெலுத்தி – உடைத்து – கொடுத்து என்ற ஆழமான அர்த்தமிகு உயிருள்ள வார்த்தைகள் மேலுறையான இறுதி இரவுணவு அறையிலும் கெச்சேமேனி தோட்டத்திலும் தன்னை வேதனை வலிகளோடு எடுத்து இறைத்தந்தைக்கு நன்றிசொல்வதையும் பாடுகளில் உடைத்துகொள்வதையும் இறுதியாக சிலுவையில் உடலாக இரத்தமாக அனைவருக்கும் கொடுப்பதை ஒவ்வொரு திருப்பலியும் செயலாக்கி அரசராக நம்மை நிரப்பும் குருவாக நம்மை நிறைவு செய்யும் இயேவுக்கு நம் நேரத்தை அளிக்க அவர் பிரசன்னத்தில் நன்றி செலுத்தி ஆராதித்து போற்ற அழைப்பு விடுக்கிறது.

1911 சீன கம்யூனிசு புரட்சியின்பொழுது பல குருக்கள் துறவியர் பாதிக்கப்பட்டனர். ஒரு ஆலயத்தில் திருப்பலிநிறைவேற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்த குருவானவரை அத்தீய சக்திகள் தாக்கி ஆலயத்திலுள்ள பொருட்களை நற்கருணை பெட்டி உட்பட அனைத்தையும் சிதறடித்தனர். குருவானவரை எதிரில் உள்ள அறையில் சிறைவைத்தனர். அந்த அறையிலிருந்து ஆலயத்தை நோக்கிய குருவானவர் சிதறியிருந்த நற்கருணை பிரசன்னத்தை பார்த்ததிசையில் ஆராதனை மற்றும் நன்றியும் செலுத்தினார். மறுநாள் அதிகாலை 3மணிக்கு ஒரு பெண்சிறுமி ஆலயத்தினுள் வந்து நாவால் நற்கருணையை உட்கொண்டார். குருவானவர் நன்கு அறிவார் அதில் 32 நற்கருணை இருந்தன என்று. தொடர்ந்து அச்சிறுமி 32நாட்கள் வந்து உட்கொண்டார் ஆனால் 32ம் நாள் நற்கருணை உட்கொள்ளும்பொழுது சிறிது தடுமாறிய சத்தத்தில் விழித்துக்கொண்ட படைவீரர்கள் அவளை துரத்தி கொடூரமாக சுட்டு கொல்ல அவள் இரத்த சாட்சியாக தன்னையே இNயுசுவுக்கு அளித்தாள.; போராயர் புல்டன் சின் இந்நிகழ்வு தான் குருமடத்தில் பயின்றபொழுது எவ்வளவு தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது மேலும் நற்கருணை இயேசுவுக்கு நேரம்கொடுத்து அவரால் என்றும் நிரப்பபட துணையாக இருந்தது என் பகிர்கிறார்.

ஒரு முறை எத்தனை மடங்கள் சகோதரிகளின் இல்லங்கள் என ஆசீர் பெற்ற அன்னை தெரேசாவை கேட்டபொழுது அவர்கள் சொன்ன பதில் எங்களிடம் மொத்தம் 584 நற்கருணை பேழைகள் இருக்கின்றன என்று சொல்லி நற்கருணை இயேசுவின் பிரசன்னமின்றி சகோதரிகளின் பணி சாத்தியமில்லாதது என்றார். மேலும் வாழும் இயேசுவின் நற்கருணைபேழையே கிறிஸ்தவ சகோதரன் சகோதரி ஆவர் என்றார். நாமும் நேரம்கொடுத்து நற்கருணை இயேசுவை ஆராதிப்போம். நற்கருணைதிருவிருந்தில் முழுமையாக ஈடுபடுவோம். பல்வேறு பசி மற்றும் தேவையிலிருப்போரை நிரப்பி நடமாடும் நற்கருணையாவோம் -ஆமென்.

The Most Precious Body and Blood of Christ – year C 02-06-2013
Filled and Fed….To Be Walking Eucharist!
Gen 14:18-20; I Cor11: 23-26; Luke 9: 11b-17

Dear brothers and sisters, I greet you, a very Happy Feast of the Most Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

This feast has a long history where we process carrying the Eucharistic Lord in procession, showing our adoration, supplication and thanksgiving to the king and priest of the people. Eucharist gathers us and gathers the whole Church to participate in the breaking and giving of the Jesus Body and Blood actively and fully. We shall witness to the ever present Eucharistic Lord in our daily life.

Why do Catholic patients are so particular about receiving communion? We have communion in our churches only on few times in a year. It is a symbolic ritual for us; this was the response of a chaplain from other denomination in the hospital. I responded saying, Communion is Eucharist, Eucharist is Jesus, and Jesus in the Eucharist is everything for us, because it is real, he is present for us and He becomes part of us in communion. I have witnessed the longing and desire of many Catholics who were away from the Church saying, I miss communion as I was away from the Church. We miss the Lord because He fulfills and feeds us spiritually, physically and personally.

Eucharist is the first meal eaten on the moon. Apollo 11 landed on the moon on Sunday, July 20, 1969. Buzz Aldrin, the NASA Astronaut a Catholic went with most renowned astronaut Neil Armstrong. He used to be an altar server to Fr. Dennis Barry in St. Martin's Church, La Mesa, California. The day before his trip to the Moon Fr. Dennis said Mass in his hotel room with Buzz as his altar server; Fr. Dennis gave the Body of Christ to take to the Moon with him in a tiny pyx. Aldrin reaching Moon said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit." Then, silently, he gave thanks for their successful journey to the moon and received Jesus in the Holy Eucharist surrendering moon to Jesus. Today’s readings reveal the feeding and fulfilling Eucharistic Lord through His Body and Blood. It is the fulfillment of the offering of Melchizedek as mentioned in the first reading. We read the reference to Melchizedek in three places in the Scripture. First, it is given in today’s reading Genesis, Abram won the battle and restored his nephew Lot who was abducted by some rebellious kings and his family, who themselves had been living in Sodom. Abram freed Lot and company, and restored the pillaged people and goods of Sodom to the King of Sodom. Then Melchizedek the king and priest of Salem the later Jerusalem brought bread and wine offered and congratulated him. Here as a priest and king he joins Abram in thanking the Almighty. We read in Psalm110:4 and In Hebrews5 "You are a priest of the order of Melchizedek and forever".

It affirms us the role of Jesus as king and priest of the universe who came to fulfill His love for us and feed us as a righteous king. The second reading upper room narrative reveals how Jesus fulfilled His love giving away His Body and Blood totally sacrificing Himself. The gospel tells us how Jesus becomes the solution for the gathered people and feeds as King. All ate and found fulfilled. Clement of Alexandria saw in the bread and wine offered by Melchizedek a figure of the Eucharist. He was followed by others and eventually this offering by Melchizedek found a place in the Canon of the Mass.

The act of priest and king Melchizedek took a paradigm shift as Jesus as king and Priest gave His Body and Blood. This is being continued in every Eucharist. Jesus makes it real and true by taking, blessing, breaking and giving in Every Eucharist. Christologically, the taking, blessing, breaking and giving of the loaves anticipated the “taking and blessing” of Jesus in the upper room and in the garden, the “breaking” of his body during his passion and Jesus’ “giving” of himself as complete sacrifice on the cross for the whole humankind.   Jesus is constantly and continuously fulfilling and feeding us when we come to Him in the Eucharist. Do we actively receive Him? Do we make time to offer our adoration and thanking giving in the Eucharist? Do we feed the hungry and broken as walking Eucharist?

"During China's 1911 Republican Revolution a priest had just begun Mass when Communists entered and arrested him and made him a prisoner in a house adjoining the little church. From a window in that house he could see the tabernacle. Shortly after his imprisonment, the Communists opened the tabernacle, threw the Hosts on the floor and stole the Sacred Vessels. The priest then decided to make adoration to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament as much as he could day and night. About three o'clock one morning he saw a child who had been at the morning Mass open a window, climb in, come to the sanctuary floor, get down on both knees, and press her tongue to the Host to give herself Holy Communion. The priest told that there were about thirty two Hosts in the ciborium. Every single night she came at the same time until there was only one Host left. As she pressed her tongue to receive the Body of Christ, a shot rang out. A Communist soldier had seen her. It proved to be her Viaticum. She was beaten to death. Archbishop Fulton Sheen became aware of her martyrdom while he was a seminarian. He was so inspired by her sacrifice that he promised to pray a holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament each day for the rest of his life.

It was Eucharist kept the hopes of the suffering alive in the concentration camp, during persecution and among the social evils today. They brought their cry, struggle, pain and hunger, Eucharist filled them with hope and fed them with energy to withstand. Blessed Mother Teresa once answered to the question, when people asked Mother how many convents she had, she answered “We have 584 tabernacles.”  Without the Presence of Jesus, the work of the Sisters would be impossible. She also said, A Christian is a tabernacle of the living God". It shows how they adore the Lord and fed by the Lord to fill and fed others as walking Eucharist -Amen.
